Advanced Botulin Toxin Treatment

Botulinum toxin type A is a safe and easy treatment that is popular for treating stubborn wrinkles and helping prevent the ageing of skin. By relaxing muscles under the skin the wrinkles are dramatically reduced giving the skin a smooth and youthful appearance.

Problem areas like the forehead show wrinkles over time due to normal facial expressions that we make throughout our lives. With administering wrinkle relaxing injections beneath the skin, the relaxed muscles ease and in turn, the skin’s surface relaxes also.

Botulin is administered in micro injections and is relatively pain free. Each client’s experience of discomfort is unique to them and so we work with our clients to ensure each treatment is as pain free as possible.

Once the Botulin has been administered it takes between 2-3 days to notice any effect and it is more noticeable after 10 days. Our clients usually require a top up every four months but again, this is unique to each person.

Unlike other clinics in the area, Jeannie invites every client back for a free post treatment review to ensure that they are happy with the results.

Why Botulin

Frequent Questions

Toxins are a purified form of Botulinum toxin, which is produced by the bacterium Clostridium Botulinum. Muscle Relaxants work by relaxing the muscles that cause wrinkles. It blocks the nerve impulses that cause the muscles to contract, which in turn prevents movement. I can prescribe Muscle Relaxants to you as I hold a Clinical Nurse Prescribing qualification.

Anti-Wrinkle Injection are used for a variety of medical conditions and I prescribe it predominantly to treat lines and wrinkles. It is also a popular treatment for excessive sweating and has also been used to prevent teeth grinding, a condition which often results in headaches or migraines.

You may feel a mild stinging sensation as the injection is given. I do have a great deal of skill and experience in carrying out this treatment and often patients comment on how gentle I am.

I’ll do it quickly, while making sure you feel comfortable at all times, so there’s no need to worry.

Not many people left to tell their personal stories. My mother and father met in the RAF my mum was from Plaistow in East London and my dad from Forfar in Scotland. You could say that under different circumstances their paths would never have crossed? My mother wore a wedding dress made of parachute silk and my father wore his uniform. They went on to have 3 children Ronnie died aged 10 months, Edward died aged 69 and me aged 64 and yes I’m still very much alive! Not an exceptional story just one I think that resonates with many of us whether it’s our parents or grandparents story it is part of the history that shaped us all!Jeannie
I’ve had clients contact me this morning regarding an article by the Daily Mail today speculating that certain businesses will not open for a further 6 months? Firstly, no one knows as yet what the government will do regarding easing social distancing measures? All we can do is stick to the advice that we have been given and in line with all other medical aesthetic clinics we have to remain closed until we are advised otherwise?Secondly, I am available for advice regarding skin care, any aesthetic questions and of course clients who I prescribe for. These are scary times and the measures in place are there to protect us all! It’s challenging both physically and mentally with days rolling into each other but do what you need to do to add structure and purpose to your days. Personally, I’m rubbish without the routine of running the clinic and have struggled to adapt to a slower pace of life. On a positive note my daughter is home from university and Marley the dog hasn’t had this much attention since his puppy days!Stay safe folks JeannieRochester House Clinic
Wishing everyone an uneventful Easter! Hope you are all staying safe and well physically and mentally? It’s hard not to see family at this time BUT we all know by now what that but means? No excuses folks .....I look forward to seeing you all again very soon 😘Jeannie xx
